Product description
Hikvision DS-2CD2387G3-LIS2UY/SL — 8MP 4K ColorVu AcuSense Turret Camera with 4mm Lens & Active Deterrence
The Hikvision DS-2CD2387G3-LIS2UY/SL with a 4mm lens is a professional 8MP 4K ColorVu AcuSense turret security camera from Hikvision, equipped with a built-in strobe, siren, and two-way audio for active deterrence. Thanks to ColorVu technology, this camera always delivers color images in ultra-high 4K resolution — even in complete darkness — while the 4mm lens provides focused long-distance monitoring with maximum detail.
Key features
- 8MP 4K resolution (3840×2160) — Ultra-high image quality for maximum detail and identification at a distance
- 4mm lens, 81° field of view — Balanced coverage for medium-sized areas and access points
- ColorVu technology — Always delivers color images in 4K, even in complete darkness, thanks to built-in white lighting
- Built-in strobe & siren — Active deterrence when intruders are detected
- Two-way audio — Direct communication through the camera for warnings or instructions
- AcuSense deep learning — Distinguishes people and vehicles from other motion, drastically reducing false alarms
- SD card slot up to 512GB — Local storage as a backup or standalone solution
- PoE (802.3af) — Easy installation via a single network cable for power and data
- IP67 weather resistance — Suitable for outdoor and indoor installations in all weather conditions
- H.265+ compression — Efficient storage of 4K footage with minimal bandwidth
Applications
The DS-2CD2387G3-LIS2UY/SL with a 4mm lens is ideally suited for demanding installations requiring focused 4K color identification at a distance and active deterrence: access points, corridors, parking areas, and outdoor locations. Compared with the 2.8mm variant, the 4mm lens offers a narrower field of view (81° vs. 100°) for greater detail at longer distances in 4K color — the ideal choice when focused long-distance color identification takes priority over maximum area coverage.

Great low-light camera
The cam fits my needs almost perfectly. I wanted one with a sensitive sensor that can record at night with very little light around. I can't use additional camera lights because it is recording through a window. For this cam 0.0005 Lux is enough. The picture is sharp and clear and smooth. It has a sub-stream too: max 1280x720 (25fps).
What the cam isn't great at in my case is white balance. However, there are multiple settings in the web GUI, so one can adjust them as needed. This one is a rare model with 4mm fixed lens (the popular one has wider 2.8mm). I have both and the difference is clearly visible. If you need the widest angle possible go with 2.8mm. If you prefer a bit more detail and would like to record e.g. a house front, then 4mm might be a better choice.
Hikvision also provides "video adjustment" slider where you can correct the lens curve effect, so the picture is more "straight" (however at a cost of cutting corners/sides a bit) - it's really useful. You can also define how sensitive is the day (color)/night (bw) switch, shutter range (exposure), noise reduction, and many more. Powered by PoE both cams are stable. I've never had streaming or picture issues so far.
I'm glad IPCAM SHOP had the 4mm model available and that they shipped to Germany. It took only a couple of days. I'm very satisfied with my purchase here!
